Description

A type of crystal structure calcium and aluminosilicate of alkali metal. It can adsorb molecules whose critical diameter is not more than5A.

Application

Separates normal paraffin from branched

hydrocarbon and cricoid hydrocarbons through selective absorption. Largely used in the separation of normal paraffin and isoparaffin. Molecules which can be adsorbed by molecular sieve 3Å and 4Å can be adsorbed by 5A.

Regeneration

By increasing the temperature, it is capable of regeneration through the course of ventilation or exhaust.

  • Regeneration temperature: 180-350°C
  • Regeneration time: 3-6 hours.

Packing

Packed in form of globular into sealed 40 kg iron drum; to be stored in a dry environment.

  • Amount of H2O adsorbed is measured by every 100g of activated molecular sieve under normal pressure at 35°C.
  • PH value for application is 5-11.
  • It can be used after regeneration if adsorbing moisture is being kept for a long time. Maximum regeneration temperature is 600°C.
