Few environments are more rugged than the bottom of the sea. But that’s where one of our clients in the Oil & Gas sector needed their sensor to function reliably. Working closely with our factory in Ningbo, China, 889 Global Solutions was able to help design a custom part to protect the sensor from the watery depths.
Fully machined from two pieces of steel, the final 15 lb. product was delivered on an aggressive time-table with minimal lead time, lowering their maintenance costs and improving margins.
The client has expanded the scope of their order five-fold, saying: “We have some tough dimensions sometimes. But they give great attention-to-detail and help keep us straight. We’re very happy.”
